i have a few minutes to step away from production weekend while my hard drive is backing itself up. the lacie finally kicked it tonight, so i had to drive to walmart and get a new 500gb one. what a perfect time for that thing to die. well we're getting geared up for kansas city. journalism convention next week, and halloween in a place far from home; i finally get to get out of here.

i don't hate it here in coeur d'alene. but just like everyone, i need a vacation. as online editor, my work doesn't even begin until 6 tomorrow evening, and will go well into the morning of monday, and i'm still here at the paper at 2:50 on a sunday morning. the word fun can't do this weekend enough justice.
